Royal Holdem
Royal Hold'em plays like regular Texas Holdem, but with a "stripped
deck" of just 20 cards. Royal Hold'em is played only with a fixed-limit,
as opposed to no-limit betting structure. Also, because there's only 20
cards in the deck, table seating is limited to 6 players. That way, a
dozen hole cards can get dealt, and a five-card board spread, with still
a "hint of mystery" left in the deck. But beware! With only a three card
"stub", it's much more likely that the card you fear is out there in
someone else's hand than it is left in the deck. The ranks of hands in
Royal Hold'em are identical to those in regular poker -- it's just that
the big hands are so much easier to hit. Straights? A dime a dozen. Full
houses? See 'em every hand. Flushes are rare, because you need all five
suited cards in the deck to hit -- but who misses flushes when it's
raining quads! |
